GINA CAREY | INTERNATIONAL RECORDING ARTIST, WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/ CINEMATOGRAPHER and EDITOR.

Gina Carey is an International Recording Artist, Song Writer, Music Producer, Composer, Playwright, Filmmaker, Editor and Cinematographer. To date, her musical credits include, over 13 Albums, multiple single releases, and 5 #1 UK Music Charted hits. Ten of the 13 albums were released under her own record and publishing company “Gico Music”.

Gina has won a BMA award for best gospel artist , Rising Stars of the Desert Best Jazz Music Artist”, (GHP Music Awards), “Best Single “ and in 2015, 2016 & 2017, she won the CV Music Award for “Best Pop/ R&B & Contemporary Artist".

In 2016 she was chosen by CV Weekly as one of the Top 12 Interesting & Influential Women in the Coachella Valley.

As the first African-American female filmmaker in Palm Springs, Gina had originally started out as a self-taught, self-funded filmmaker who eventually expanded onto building Gina Carey Films

To date Gina has written, produced and directed 3 Christian based stage plays, 2 talk web series, and 7 feature films , Aspire to Inspire”, “The Unexpected, “The Assumptions” , “The One Year Pact”, “Acts of Kindness”, “Rose England” and "The Star Connection due to premiere in 2020. Gina wrote, produced directed, filmed and edited all of her movies.

Gina has also explored the world of music videos as she served as 2nd AD in Sony Musics Country Music Star, Kane Brown (Loose it) Music Video in 2018.

In 2017 she launched the 1st annual CV indie Film Awards recognizing and awarding filmmakers across the nation with micro to low budget films.The CV Indie Film Awards continues to serve as a premiere film awards in the Coachella Valley.

Gina is also a mother and a proud Christian woman who loves God and people. Her model in life is what is a life lived if you can’t live it to help somebody.
